Global ambient beat - Captain Sorrow & Primitive Dance

CS&PD is based in Stockholm & Eskilstuna/Sweden. Miško Stanišić makes a unique melodic scenery combining the acoustic and electronic instruments, beats, samples, sound landscapes and discreet flavors of the Balkans.

Miško Stanišić is a pianist and composer of contemporary world piano music - unequivocally stirring and evocative piano improvisations. Aleksandar Djurović is a true virtuoso on his chromatic button accordion, awarded five times as the best accordionist in Serbia. Aleksandar Prodanović is an experienced and talented percussionist with an easily recognizable depth of feeling and power of expression. Nevena Bajalica is experimenting on a theremin - an instrument invented in 1919 by the then young Russian physicist named Lev Sergeivich Termen.

CS&PD weaves a unique musical tapestry: the grand piano and the accordion play the leading melodies and improvisations, leading throughout this emotional journey. The theremin screams out the ghost-like voices of the first electronic instrument in history, while the percussions steadily construct rich soundscapes of the woods, oceans and uneven polyrhythmics. This is a soundtrack for your personal emotional kaleidoscope.

The album "Point of no return" was recorded in Stockholm and Eskilstuna/Sweden, and mixed in the Master Factory Studio in Amsterdam/Holland during December 2008 - April 2009.
